Naturally Abstracted Constructs

I’ve been taking lots of shots of waterfowl recently and focusing on the subjects it is easy to miss the background.  While editing some of the shots of birds my eye was drawn to the play of light and colour being reflected in the ripples of the waters.  Some of these cut-offs instead of ending up on the editing room floor, as it were, have become subjects themselves.  So, on my recent trip to the wetlands of West Lancashire I deliberately turned the camera away from the fowl and onto the waters.  What follows are some of the results.
