Day 4 Tourists in Hebdon Bridge 6 May

Lovely nights sleep, woke to pouring rain but better today than tomorrow. Have now arranged for packs to be transported so the next 2 days should be easier going.

Thorncliffe B&B lovely room, very comfortable, a David Hockney, 2 lovely mixed media and a Hamish MacDonald, the same as ours on the stairs. A beautiful bowl and ceramic ball.

All our wet things are now dry, except boots but hopefully should be ok by the morning.

Hebdon Bridge lovely, and the most marvellous lunch ever at Marco’s cafe › Marcos-Cafè

Too much so will double up for tea tomorrow in our tent, yum.

Also quick repair job on the tent, and the ground sheet has been re-waterproofed (hopefully). Stroll around the town, David lived here till he was 6, saw his old house and reminisced.
