Full bloom already, Roy. In nature, or controlled environment? In any case, lovely B&W subject and delivery.

Maybe roses bloom earlier in Spain, where Cosme lives. I love the quality of this shot – it’s more like a painting, even though it is in B & W

Roses bloom this month in my country. On April 23 in Catalonia we celebrate a very special day (St. George) each man gifts a rose to his woman and she gifts a book to him. I will post some photos this day to explain it.

How interesting. The rose has a very special significance in England too, although we do not celebrate St George’s Day as we once did, it is Shakespeare’s birthday and I have been to Stratford to celebrate on that day. You have given me an idea for a blog!
