There are some interesting but alas not surprising findings in the report – changes to benefits are jeopardising the safety, and mental and physical health of women and their children, the vulnerable in society –  lone parents, women who suffer violence at home and women who have difficulties with English. When they don’t meet the increasingly punitive conditions they lose their benefits and this results not just in hardship for them but their families.
