Bliss

This morning’s destination was William Brown Street, adjacent to St George’s Hall, this street houses the Walker Art Gallery, the Central Library and Museum.  The circular Picton Reading Room was based on the plans for the British Museum Reading Room

The Free Public Library (oh, how beautiful is that phrase) was established in 1850 and an architectural competition was held in 1856 to design a building sited on Shaw’s Brow.
